From Our Pastor
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Parents & Students:
YEAH!!!!! We are able to open our doors and have people come through!!! What a different experience for us. The halls have been too quiet and the rooms not filled with the smiles, questions, fun, and learning that usually occur within the hallowed halls of our school. I am SO GLAD to have our wonderful students, faculty, staff, parents, and volunteers back with us. And we welcome the students/families who are new to us, as well as new faces among our staff.
Over the past several months, our world has changed forever. No one could have predicted a worldwide pandemic that would stop our normal way of life. No one could have imagined that social distancing and seclusion would be practiced. This whole experience with COVID-19 has taught us to rely on our faith and to trust in the Lord. It also has taught us to be thankful for the gifts we’ve been given. To have things taken away or altered or stopped is difficult, to say the least. But, it sure makes us more appreciative of what we do have.
And what we have at HFCS is a great place to learn. At HFCS we are able to talk about God, learn about Jesus, pray with one another, learn about the world and how it works. At HFCS our teachers/staff members have the best in mind and heart for each and every student. At HFCS the students help one another and care and respect those around them. At HFCS the atmosphere is peaceful, non-violent, caring, and compassionate.
See what we have? See what we haven’t experienced as usual? So many excellent qualities and happenings, both personally and collectively, that await us as we return. Let us never take them for granted. Let us be evermore grateful that we once again get to experience all the marvelous things about our school.
Sometimes when something is taken away from us we grow more in appreciation of it. I pray that this is the case with our school. With now being able to go back to HFCS about months away, may we commit ourselves to being the best community once more of faith, education, and the presence of Christ.
WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!!!!
